Match Highlights
Sri Lanka was in the mood of acceleration from the start. They were hitting bowlers all around the ground, even after losing early wickets. But, then ‘Mustafizur’ brought back Bangladesh by taking the wicket of ‘Pathum Nissanka’ and Bangladesh started a counter attack and picked batters in bunches and stopped Sri Lanka on 124 runs.
Sri Lakan also joined the party and picked some early wickets. ‘Towhid’ played exceptional knocks and played with a strike rate of 200. He hitted four sixes in his innings and took Bangladesh to the finishing line. Then, Sri Lanka back fired again and picked both set batsmen and added another twist in the game. Mahmudullah managed to fetch the win for Bangladesh in the 19th over.

“Rishad Hossain” was the player of the match for his amazing spell. He took three wickets in his four over spell while conceding 22 runs only.

Rivalry of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

Controversy Sparked Again in (2018) (Naagin Dance Incident)
In a match on 5 February, 2018 Bangladesh’s spinner ‘Nazmul Islam’ took his maiden wicket and celebrated it by mocking batsmen by ‘Naagin Dance’. The same incident repeated from the Sri Lankan side, Gunathilaka mimicked Nazmul and mocked after taking the last wicket of Bangladesh and won the series by 2-0.
The series of Naagin dance continued in ‘Nidahas Trophy’ 2018. ‘Mushfiqur Rahim’ repeated the aggressive version of this after winning the match.
